Overview

PateXs is seeking an experienced .NET Technical Lead to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can design and deliver high-quality .NET solutions, mentor developers, and drive best practices across the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with product, QA, and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of .NET (C#) applications and services

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth

• Architect scalable, maintainable solutions using .NET Core/.NET and related technologies (Web APIs, gRPC, etc.)

• Drive code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to coding standards

• Collaborate with product owners, QA, and DevOps to define technical requirements, estimate effort, and deliver on time

• Champion CI/CD, automated deployments, and infrastructure-as-code practices

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes

• Help establish and improve development processes, tools, and engineering metrics

• Participate in recruitment, interviews, and onboarding of new engineering hires

• Keep up to date with .NET ecosystem trends and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in .NET development with strong C# skills

• Proven experience leading small to medium-sized engineering teams or technical projects

• Solid understanding of .NET Core / .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API development, and modern application architecture

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud-native patterns

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is desirable

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience diagnosing production issues

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work with cross-functional teams

• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration) and test-driven development practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities

Nice to Have:

• Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka)

• Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD) and microservices patterns

• Experience with performance tuning and observability tools (Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana)

• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong developer community presence

• Experience working in distributed or remote teams
